Take it slow. This is a zombie WALK, not a zombie run. There are different zombie ambulation styles, but for this event, please go old-school and give it your best stumbling shuffle – or roll. Zombies in wheelchairs, strollers and wagons are welcome!
Be a courteous zombie. Not everyone will know what’s going on, or find zombies as amusing as you do. If someone seems scared or annoyed, please back off. Keep your hands – and teeth – to yourself. (Bad zombie – NO BITING!) This is a family-friendly zombie walk. Zombies do not drink, smoke, or use cuss words around kid zombies.
Be a tidy zombie. Gross zombie costumes are awesome, but, please, keep your makeup and fake blood on your person, not on spectators, vehicles, sidewalks, or business floors or windows. Volunteers don’t really enjoy cleaning up your zombie gore, and we want to keep a good relationship with downtown businesses.
Use you braaaaains. Be as weird and scary as you want, but use common sense. All zombies are responsible for their own safety and their own actions. Use sidewalks and crosswalks, and pay attention to instructions from zombie herders. Young (under 12) zombies or spectators should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Leave your prop weapons at home, please.
