Adam Pontipee (Howard Keel) and his six brothers live together in a cabin in the wilds of 1850’s Oregon. One day Adam heads to town to get himself a wife and convinces Milly (Jane Powell) to marry him. She’s surprised to find that she’ll be living with the six uncouth brothers but sets out to reform them so they too can find themselves brides.
This musical comedy was nominated for Best Picture and won the Oscar for Best Music Score (1955)
