The Historically Haunted Midwest Theater is getting spooky this October for our Hauntasic Halloween Season! The third weekend in October is our Horror Icons’ Anniversaries Weekend! Horror Icon Freddy Krueger first appeared in the Wes Craven classic that changed the slasher genre.

1… 2… Freddy’s coming for you.

The parents of Springwood, Ohio have a dark secret about what happened to child killer Freddy Krueger.

3… 4… Better lock your door.

They thought it was over. They were wrong. Dead wrong.

5… 6… Grab your crucifix.

Nancy and her friends have been having nightmares about the same hideously scarred figure, who wears a fedora, a striped sweater, and a special glove that has knives on the fingers and goes by the name Freddy.

7… 8… Better stay up late.

They soon discover that their nightmares can become deadly reality and the fight is on against their nightmare man, but how do you fight someone who can kill you in your dreams?

9… 10… Never sleep again…

Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the movie that gave us Freddy Krueger. Who would later go on to become a pop culture icon and almost inescapable in the late 80’s. Robert Englund’s performance as Freddy was the major factor for his success. The movie also solidified Wes Craven as an A-List Horror director.
