The Boy and the Heron

The Boy and the Heron

It’s been a decade since famed anime director Hayao Miyazaki has made a film, so it’s no wonder it is nominated for Best Animated Feature film in this year’s Academy Awards.

The film is about a young boy named Mahito. Who yearns for his mother and ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead. There, death comes to an end, and life finds a new beginning. Miyazaki’s semi-autobiographical fantasy about life, death, and creation, in tribute to friendship and a must see for any Miyazaki fans, Studio Ghibli fans, or just fans of animated movies.
