National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation – 35th Anniversary
The Holiday Season is upon us and this December the Midwest Theater is celebrating with our Very, Merry, Midwest Christmas! Join us all month for a range of movies destined to put you in the Christmas spirit!
The Griswolds are back and this time they’re vacationing at home! How crazy and mad capped can one Christmas get? When it comes to Clark and family the answer is a lot!
Clark (Chevy Chase), Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo), Rusty (Johnny Galecki) & Audrey (Juliette Lewis) Griswold just want a nice quiet vacation at home this Christmas, but when have vacations ever gone to plan for the Griswold’s? Clark is determined to make it a Christmas like the ones he remembers as a kid, but life has other plans for him. Nothing goes right for Clark, whether it’s getting a real Christmas tree, putting up the decorations on the house, or buying gifts. He can almost put up with his yuppie neighbors, uncaring boss, and quarreling grandparents but when Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) and family show up unexpectedly Clark’s grip on the Christmas spirit, and reality, take a nosedive. Can Clark pull it together so the family can have a holly, jolly Christmas or will it all come crashing down around him? Either way this is one Christmas Vacation you’ll never forget!
Come to the movie in your favorite Ugly Christmas Sweater! We will have a little contest to see who we think is the best “worst” one!
