The Midwest Classic Movies Series brings movies from the golden age of Hollywood back to the big screen. The series considers classics to be made from the 1910’s through the 1960’s and have stood the test of time. M.C.M is every 3rd Saturday of the month at 1:30 p.m.

March Madness means Marx Madness here at the Midwest Classic Movies!

The Marx Brothers – Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zeppo bring their special brand of madness to the big screen! 

Groucho is Rufus T. Firefly, the newly elected president of Freedonia. Zeppo is Bob Roland, his assistant. Chico and Harpo are Chicolini and Pinky, two spies hired by Firefly’s main political rival Ambasador Trentino (Louis Calhern). He wants them to get dirt on Firefly so he can convince the wealthy Gloria Teasdale (Margret Doumont) to back him instead of Firefly. Hijinks ensue and before he knows it Firefly finds himself at WAR! It’s the kind of war that only the Marx Brothers can bring where jokes fly faster than the bullets!
