The Muppet Movie – 45th Anniversary

It’s time to start the music and dim the lights, because the Muppets are back on the big screen!

The 1st Muppet movie tells the (approximate) story of how the Muppets got together. From Kermit singing to himself in the swamp, to meeting up with Fozzy the Bear, to their road trip across America to reach – Hollywood!

Along the way they pick up the rest of the Muppet gang like Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Rowlf the Dog, and Electric Mayhem! They’re also chased by the ruthless Doc Hopper (Charles Durning) who wants Kermit for his frog leg restaurant. They also manage to meet more stars than in Hollywood with celebrity cameos including – Milton Berle, Mel Brooks, James Coburn, Dom DeLuise, Elliott Gould, Cloris Leachman, Madeline Kahn, Steve Martin, & Richard Pryor.
